As well as designing bespoke websites we are also experts at customising / tailoring Joomla CMS templates.

Joomla is one of the worlds best content management systems, it's incredibly powerful. Using Joomla as a starting point for your new website can give you unbelievable leverage on development costs  as to have a system like it built for your sites CMS would take a conservative 50K. This is why we would advise any client against having a custom built or commercial CMS as there is rarely any need for them & most clients can't afford it. Obviously there are limits to what you can achieve with open source technology but for most types of website Joomla can be used.

If you start with a high end pro template that has been configured / optimised for all major browsers then you are standing on the shoulders of around 5 to 10k's worth of development (id say 10k for some of the ecommerce templates) before you start customising with custom web design. Now add that to the Joomla CMS figure and you have a very good reason to go down this route as opposed to bespoke.

It's like being given a new works van with a fantastic engine, all you have to do is pay for the customisation, ie, paint it, change the door handles, rip out the back seats, cover the front ones  and maybe you'll have enough budget to put in a great music system with huge speakers. Not that I'd advise music on your website, but it's a fair analogy.
